- In the story Our Twisted Hero, a character that represents the definition of a twisted hero emerges. None other than Om Sokdae, the fabled class monitor, is fitting of such a title. He is the glue that binds the classroom of unwildly teenage boys together. Om keeps the peace and earns utmost respect from his classmates and the teacher. However, he only uses this power to benefit himself. This is revealed in the text when 'quote'. These actions show he is the perfect canditate to be a twisted hero. He appears to be the kind and familar face you picture when you see a hero, but underneath he is something from a nightmare.
- Some may claim that Om is not an example of a twisted hero. These people might prepose that a twisted hero is someone with good intentions but bad actions. However, this is incorrect and easily refutable. A hero only deserves the title 'twisted' if he is on the inside. It is preposterous to call someone twisted or even a hero judging off their actions. Someones character is defined by what is in their heart, not their actions.
- In conclusion, Om Sokdae is a perfect example of a twisted hero. He fulfills e definition, as he is someone with malintent but produces a good outcome. This makes him twisted as his heart is not out to benefit the people but just for himself. Amongst many twisted heroes in history, Otto Von Bismarck stands out.

Our Twisted Hero (Hangul: 우리들의 일그러진 영웅; RR: Urideul-ui ilgeuleojin yeongung) is a 1992South Korean film directed by Park Jong-won. It was chosen as Best Film at the Chunsa Film Art Awards.[2][3] It is based on the book Our Twisted Hero.

Synopsis[edit]
A man traveling to the funeral of his fifth-grade teacher recalls his life at the time. As a city boy transferred to a country school, he encountered an unexpectedly old-fashioned hierarchical bullying system. When he tried to create a rebellion against the system, both those oppressed by it and the teachers and parents opposed him. When change finally came to the school, it was in an equally harsh form.[4]
